Who we are

Waitbox (waitbox.app) runs launch waitlists for founders. In this policy, “founders” are people with a Waitbox account and “members” are people who join a founder’s waitlist.

What we collect

  • Founders: name, email, password (stored only as a secure hash) and the launch details you enter.
  • Members: email address, who invited you, where you came from (for example Twitter or a referral link) and the type of device.
  • Anti-abuse: a one-way hash of your IP address, used to spot fake referrals. We never store the IP address itself.
  • Emails: which emails we sent you and whether you clicked the button in them.

Why we use it

To run the waitlist: confirm your email, give you a place in line, credit your referrals, and send you the emails for the launch you joined. Founders see their own waitlist and can export it. We don’t sell your data or use it for ads.

Emails

Every email we send on a founder’s behalf has an unsubscribe link. Once you unsubscribe, you get no more emails for that launch.

Who we share it with

Only the founder whose waitlist you joined, and the services we need to run Waitbox: hosting (Netlify), the database and sign-in (Supabase) and email delivery (Resend). They process data only on our behalf.

How long we keep it

As long as the launch exists. When a founder deletes a launch or their account, its waitlist is deleted with it.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time. Founders can delete their account in Settings. Members can ask the founder, or write to us at hello@waitbox.app.

Cookies

We use one cookie to keep founders signed in and one to remember the selected launch. No tracking or advertising cookies.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and, for important changes, tell founders by email.
